What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant Complaint Challenge I thought I would try to do something about that. And so the Alliance was born!
Because I, your founder, have a deep and abiding love for the seasons, this group now hosts seasonal contests, and as the Winter Contest is now over, it is time for Spring.

Single Stock ChallengeHello from the admins of #TheArtOfManipulation! It's time for a new Contest and this one is going to be BIG!

How it Will Work
For this contest, we are going to make things TOUGH. We will provide you with a list of stockers that you can choose from, however you only get to choose ONE stock artist and you must use all stock from that artist. And to make things even harder, you cannot use any human models, premade backgrounds, PNG cut-outs, or brushes (except the preset ones located in your software already). Also you MUST use a minimum of 3 stock images, there is no maximum

Gerard's Twitter Icon WinnersGerard's Twitter icon contest had a lot of incredible entries, and I want to give them some recognition. Emoticon TournamentAfter months of waiting and anticipation, the "Secret Contest" I had planned is here! I bring you, the Emoticon Tournament!

OC Summer Fun in The Sun Contest! Cash Prizes!Time to get this second contest of the year started! The first one I held this year had a decent turn out, but I'm hoping even more people enter this one. What can I say, I enjoy seeing the drawings people come up with for my contests.
If you couldn't tell from the title this contest involves original characters and summer. This will be a "draw yours and my original character" type of contest in which you show the characters enjoying summer. Each entry must have at least one of my characters and one of your characters for it to be eligible. Your character can be a completely original one or an OC from a popular existing universe (pokemon, naruto, bleach, etc) as long as it is your own character.
